What do I receive when I purchase?
You receive a zip file containing editable .docx files for your selected state. Each document references the correct legislation, regulator, and requirements for that state. We also offer a National version for businesses operating across multiple states.
What format are the files in?
All SWMS are delivered as .docx (Microsoft Word) files. They open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, and most other word processors. You can add your logo, company details, and modify the content to suit your work.
How quickly do I get my download?
Instantly. After payment, you receive a download link by email. No waiting, no manual processing.
Why do I need to select a state?
Each state has different safety laws. Your SWMS needs to reference the correct Act, regulator, and requirements for the state you work in. For example, Victoria uses the OHS Act 2004 and WorkSafe Victoria, while NSW uses the WHS Act 2011 and SafeWork NSW. We write each version separately — they are not generic national documents with the state name swapped in. If you work across multiple states, choose the National version as a general starting point.
What is the difference between an individual SWMS and a trade pack?
An individual SWMS covers one specific task (e.g., "Trench Excavation"). A trade pack contains every SWMS relevant to a particular trade, plus a Master SWMS and a set of Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and tasks specific to that trade. Packs are significantly cheaper than buying the same SWMS individually.
What is a Master SWMS?
A Master SWMS is a single document that covers the entire scope of a trade. Each trade pack includes one overriding Master SWMS alongside the task-specific documents.
Do I still need to complete and customise the SWMS?
Yes. These are templates — professional starting points with hazards, controls, and legislative references already written. You must complete the site-specific fields (company, site, date, personnel, signatures) and review the content against your actual work and conditions. A competent person must ensure the SWMS is appropriate for the specific work being done.
Do you update the templates when regulations change?
Yes. We regularly review our templates and update them when regulations change. Contact us if you need to check whether an updated version is available for a document you have purchased.
Do I get a tax invoice?
Yes. All prices are GST-inclusive and a tax invoice with our ABN is provided automatically with your purchase via Stripe.
Can I use the SWMS across multiple projects?
Yes, within a single business. The licence permits use across all projects and sites operated by the purchasing business. You can share completed SWMS with workers and subcontractors on your projects. You may not resell, redistribute, or share the templates with other businesses. See our Licence Terms for details.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the digital nature of these products, refunds are generally not available once the download link has been accessed. If you believe you have received incorrect or defective files, contact us and we will resolve the issue. See our Refund Policy for full details.
