Entry into and work within confined spaces such as pits, tanks, chambers, pipes and vaults encountered during demolition, including identification, permits, atmospheric control, entry, the task and rescue.
Objective
Complete the work safely so that no person enters an untested or unisolated space, by controlling engulfment, hazardous atmospheres and entrapment through permit-controlled entry, isolation, gas testing, continuous monitoring, a standby person and a rehearsed non-entry rescue plan.
