Removal of existing floor coverings (vinyl, carpet, tiles) and adhesive beds by hand and mechanical stripper, including ACM presumption, dust control and waste handling.
Objective
Complete the work safely by controlling asbestos fibre release, respirable silica and laceration through presuming ACM in pre-2004 coverings, wet or H-class dust control with P2 RPE and safe stripper operation.
This is the Shop Fitting version. The hazards and controls are written around shop fitting work, so it differs from the other 4 trade versions of Floor Covering Removal. Compare all 5.

When you'd use this SWMS
If floor covering removal (shop fitting) is part of your job, the builder or head contractor will usually want a SWMS for it before you start on site. This one's editable in Word. Add your company and site details, check the hazards and controls against the actual job, and get your crew to sign on before work starts.
Doing the whole trade? The Shop Fitting pack bundles this with the rest and works out cheaper. New to it? Here's what goes in a SWMS.
