Working in Private Residences (Tiling and Waterproofing)
Tiling and waterproofing work carried out in occupied private homes, including managing occupants, children and pets, containing dust and fumes in bathrooms, and a presume-and-do-not-disturb approach to pre-1990 floor-covering asbestos.
Objective
Complete the work safely by controlling risks to occupants, children and pets, dust and fume escape in bathrooms, and accidental asbestos disturbance through physical separation, containment and ventilation, daily make-safe, and presuming and not disturbing pre-1990 floor coverings.
This is the Tiling and Waterproofing version. The hazards and controls are written around tiling and waterproofing work, so it differs from the other 30 trade versions of Working in Private Residences. Compare all 31.

When you'd use this SWMS
If working in private residences (tiling and waterproofing) is part of your job, the builder or head contractor will usually want a SWMS for it before you start on site. This one's editable in Word. Add your company and site details, check the hazards and controls against the actual job, and get your crew to sign on before work starts.
Doing the whole trade? The Tiling and Waterproofing pack bundles this with the rest and works out cheaper. New to it? Here's what goes in a SWMS.
